About Me

I'm Eliya Arman and for more than twenty years, I've produced award-winning documentaries for broadcasters and platforms including Netflix, the BBC, Paramount+, National Geographic and ITV. My career has been built around telling real stories with honesty, sensitivity and care.
I've interviewed people from every walk of life, helping them feel comfortable enough to share the moments, memories and experiences that have shaped their lives. Those conversations have taught me that every life has a story worth preserving.
After losing my husband when he was only 49, I came to understand personally just how precious recordings of the people we love can be. A voice, a laugh, the way someone tells a story, these become some of the most important things we hold onto. Photographs capture moments, but video preserves presence.
That experience is what inspired My Life on Record.
My aim is to create a relaxed, thoughtful space where people can reflect on their lives naturally and honestly, resulting in a beautifully edited film that families will treasure for generations.
These are not formal interviews or performances. They are conversations, carefully guided, professionally produced and deeply personal.
